3 Things I Wish BitChar-g Micro RC Cars Did Better
Despite the micro mayhem you can unleash when two or three of these pint size racers are on the scene there are three annoying shortcomings I wish they didn’t have.
Expand the Extremely Limited Range Brace yourself. Believe it or not you may find your Bit tethered on a
how can I put this charitably, ridiculously short leash! Yeah you may discover you only get two or three feet of responsive range. Which to me is decidedly on the skimpy side unless you’re racing on a dinner plate.
Luckily there’s an easy range mod to fix that. It solves the limited range issue for many BitChar-g micro rc cars. And if that’s NOT clear enough then here’s even more help.
Eliminate the All or Nothing Speed Issue With BitChar-g micro rc cars there’s no in between. You’re either going all out at break neck speed (for a bit) or standing still. What’s called for is a proportional throttle. Or at least something approximating that.
"Excuse Me, How Do I Control This Thing?" You’ll find the pretty much the near total lack of control is a direct result of that all or nothing speed thingee. Not to mention the mere mention of dust bunnies can wreck havoc on your quest for pin point control. Therefore, like a doctor looking to perform vasectomies with a fork, you have to practice in order to get the hang of staying on the "track". And do all you can to keep the track bunny free - real or imagined.
Still even if they're clearly not perfect, Bit Char-g micro rc cars have a lot going for them. Not the least of which is being a cheap source of certified glee.
