Should You Turbo-size Your Plugs or Not?

Anymore glow plugs come in two flavors: standard and turbo.

Without going all technical the basic reason for going turbo is better performance.

Engines designed to go turbo give you the advantage of more even combustion ignition. Due in part to a better designed combustion chamber.

Plus turbo plugs seal better.

Now some would say to stay away from turbo if you’re an off-road kind of guy. Because you’ll be running varying rpms. Going from slow to all out and back again. On road applications are where turbos are felt to shine due to more consistent run speeds.

Go here for a bit more insight into turbo glow plugs. Click on "Accessories" in the left most frame. Then on glowplugs from the links found in the middle frame. (Geez, I hate frames don’t you?) This will take you to a brief discussion on the "merits and failings of turbo glowplugs" you might find helpful.
