Review OFNA Dominator
You up to it? The OFNA Dominator? The 1/8th scale, nitro, RTR monster truck that is?Heavier than the Pirate 10, lighter than the Titan, the Dominator is OFNA's all out racing/bashing monster truck.
Based as it was on a buggy, the Dominator was born to race. Loaded with the powerful (and reliable) 3.5 cc Hyper .25 Hyper pull start nitro engine it's equipped for just that - racing. The tuned pipe with header that's included simply kicks it up a notch. Result? The Dominator ooozes power. It's very very quick off the line yet has impressive top speed - despite the single speed transmission.
This gas guzzling monster truck is shaft driven for smooth power delivery.
It has full suspension travel from front to back. Suspension is fully adjustable.
Comes with a painted and trimmed body.
And it includes a steady Airtronics Blazer Sport two channel pistol grip AM 27mHz with LED battery indicator, steering and throttle trim and servo reversing, NiCd charge jack. Plus one high torque steering servo and one standard throttle servo. This servo may be better than any stock servo included with any other truck!
Pit Tip: As with most RTR nitros, you want to find and locktite EVERY set screw on the entire truck before it's maiden run.Need to note a possible minus or two. Ground clearance might not be sufficient in all situations.
It’s a good idea to shim the differential right away.
Finally handling can be a somewhat of a challenge - in part due to the speed the Dominator. It has so much low end torque it tends to lose traction. But hey that’s part of the fun no?

…Dominator is an awsome truck. Nearly indestructibleWith the Ofna Dominator I suspect you’ll find the cons are handily out-weighed by the pros. It highly regarded as an incredible truck. Were you to pick one up tomorrow you would not be disappointed at all. Especially if you're a slave to raw speed.
…it will win races…I suck up all other trucks with mine
…recommended for those who stunt alot with their trucks…it takes jumps very well
