Team Associated TC3 ReviewThe Team Associated TC3 proves it. Sometimes you don't have to be cutting edge to still be darn good.Just ask those who run shaft driven Team Associated TC3 s.
Besides given the massive availability of hop-ups, any TC3 has absolutely insane hop-up potential. Now the Team Associated TC3 comes in several flavors. You can get the racer, team or factory team version. Let's take a closer look each: RC Car Action Magazine pretty well summed it up with it wrote the "TC3 Racer kit performs 90 percent as well as the Factory Team kit". Which says you're getting like 90% of the performance for about half the price! The lightest of the TC3's, many would say the Racer is just about the best entry level rc car you can buy. The kit includes a body and Pro-Line wheels and tires. To make it street ready you'll just need to pick up the radio, motor, ESC of your choice. Typically this kit should take 4-6 hours or so to build. Due in part to the fact Team Associated is one of the best at laying out the parts and instructions. Which makes building easy not to mention downright fun. (Just be sure you read the manual thoroughly before you start in!) Team Associated TC3 Racer RTR I would say the electric TC3 RTR Racer is a good choice for the beginner. It's ready to run now and can be hopped up later. Plus you get your choice of five popular ProtoForm sedan bodies, including the Alfa Romeo, Mercedes CLK DTM or Chrysler 300M. Just add batteries and you're off to the races. TC3 Team Kit You might say the Team Associated TC3 Team Kit has all the must-have hop ups without any fluff. Like the Racer Kit you get to choose the radio gear, motor, esc, and supply the batteries. Plus the body of your choice too. TC3 Factory Team Kit This kit gives the most "bang for the buck". In essence when you're done you have pretty much a fully hopped up touring car. All for a fraction what it would cost to do it piecemeal. So if you're inclined to go heavy on hop ups you'll come out way ahead with the Factory Team Kit. Of course the question is "Do YOU need all that?" (Yes you!) Or do you have the driving skills to notice the difference the high end stuff makes. You also get the most leeway as it doesn't come with electronics, wheels, tires, or a body. But if you're truly serious, you should want to choose all that stuff for yourself anyway. So you get the gear best suited to how you plan to run it. To sum this up, the Team Associated TC3 sports the following pros and cons PROSThe Team Associated TC3 won't disappoint. Whichever one you go with, I suspect you'll find it to be a reliable, high quality electric touring car. That will be very competitive on the track. Plus easy to maintain with tons of hop up potential. What's not to like?
