Traxxas E-Maxx Review
Heads turned when Traxxas E-Maxx was released. Some felt it was one of the most exciting electric rc monster trucks EVER when the Traxxas E-Maxx first appeared
|
As proof the 1/10 scale, 4WD Traxxas E-Maxx snagged "Truck of the Year" honors from RC Car Action magazine in 2001.
Even better it comes fully assembled and ready to hit the road running.
This way you can quickly discover that the high performance E-Maxx is great for popping wheelies, jumping, backyard bashing or just crushing the neighborhood competition.
Yet not only is it great off road, but this bad boy's been clocked at an insane top speed of around 30 mph - with 7-cell battery packs. Would that feed your need for speed or what?
|
What's that? Is it equipped? I'll say. More like loaded.
In fact here are just a few of the highlights that put the Traxxas E-Maxx in a class by itself.
- Twin Titan 550 MOTORS put out extra low-end torque WITHOUT sacrificing top end speed
-
A rugged super sized 80-oz./in.steering servo to insure your Traxxas E-Maxx is one of the best handling rc monster trucks going
-
4-wheel drive allows the Traxxas E-Maxx to deliver superior handling
-
"Go-Over-Anything-Suspension" gives you 4 inches of maximum ground clearance
-
Designed tough to take a lot of heavy duty abuse
-
2 speed tranny with a low gear that provides brutal acceleration and tons of torque for climbing and doing wheelies
-
Traxxas even throws in a better than average 3 channel TQ-3 radio.
-
Note: A steering servo cover is recommended for tall grass or brush running.
That's just the tip of the iceberg of all there is to like about the E Maxx.
On top of that youll find even though the Traxxas E-Maxx is fast, it has the raw agility and juice to claw it's way over just about anything.
And unlike some that claim to be ready to run the E-Maxx really is. And so quiet you could run it in the library without even one librarian telling you to shush.
This monster truck looks as great as it runs.
Being RTR its a great truck for racing rookies. Plus I know of no reason why this Traxxas E-Maxx monster truck wouldn't be for you. Especially given it's rave reviews, awards and the stir it caused when it initially came out.
So if you think you're up to the raw speed and brute force the Traxxas E-Maxx offers - then go for it. That is unless you prefer to build a kit. Since again this 2 speed terror on wheels comes fully assembled and ready to rumble right out of the box.
